I am so damn thankful for climbing. I get hurt, scraped up, frustrated, sometimes tears. But when I finally send something, or even just make progress on a project, I can’t even explain the feelings and emotions that rush through me. I’ve met some of the greatest people on earth, and I also live a stone throw away from one of the best bouldering areas in the world. I was more depressed than I have ever been the past few years… and as soon as I started climbing, my life completely changed. It literally saved my life. I know how sappy all of this sounds, but I really hope every single person can feel the same way I feel when my hands touch rock.
Training with Sean McColl. If you don’t know Sean is one of the best all around competition climbers in the world, making podiums in World Cups for both Lead and Bouldering this season. He’s also had some Speed successes. He runs an excellent blog and most recently he posted this great training video showing how he builds himself back up.
